Packer/Material Specialist

 Job Summary

Chelsea Building Products, an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compound function, and building product development has immediate full-time opportunities available for entry level Packer/Material Specialist positions.

We are searching for Packers who are dependable individuals, quick-learners, flexible, and possess the willingness to work collaboratively with members of their work team.

Responsibilities include visually inspecting products and measuring product length to make sure the appropriate materials are being used. These individuals also ensure that all proper documentation is completed before finalizing the packing process in preparation for shipment.

The Packer/Materials Specialist position offers future promotional opportunities if performance warrants.

Building Codes Specialist

 

 Job Summary

 Chelsea Building Products, an industry leader in extrusion manufacturing, compound function, and building product development has an immediate full-time opportunity available for a Building Codes Specialist.

The Building Codes Specialist work in the Quality Assurance lab to learn and perform American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) materials testing and in addition would manage the paperwork associated with external testing such as AAMA, CCRR’s, Building Code compliance and Flexural testing.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • High School degree minimum, College preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Intermediate level Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical reports
  • Ability to produce technical reports
  • Ability to perform material testing in the lab
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal
  • Team player
  • Ability to read part drawings and use measurement devices.
  • Good math skills.

Maintenance Technician

 

 Job Summary

 The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a positive attitude, be coachable, and look for ways to improve job processes
  • Must be reliable and have good attendance and communication skills
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Understands basic principles of electricity
  • The Ideal candidate would be able to work day or night shift
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour shift following a 3-2-2 schedule
  • Familiar with 3-phase, 480v electricity is a plus
  • Electronic troubleshooting skills is a plus

We are searching for dependable individuals, who are quick-learners, flexible, and possess the willingness to work collaboratively with members of their work team.

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining dies used in the plastic extrusion process utilizing various cleaning methods and techniques.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Reliable transportation;
  • Ability to understand and follow-through with directions;
  • Experience with basic tools;
  • Ability to perform basic math;

Lamination Operator

 

Job Description

  • Responsible for setup and operation of lamination machine with support staff of two employees
  • Execute production schedule
  • Responsible for quality control sampling

Qualifications

  • 2 plus years in manufacturing environment with machine operation experience
  • Excellent mechanical skills, good verbal and communication skills
  • Leadership experience a plus
  • Ability to read engineering prints and bill of materials
  • High school diploma minimum / 2-year technical school preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment and flexible work hours (primary schedule second/afternoon shift)
  • PC skills / MS office preferred
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Machine training provided
  • Requiring minimal supervision

 

 

Pulverizer 

 

Job Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for processing foam and PVC rework into material that can be recycled. The hours for the position are 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM following a 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including working weekends on a bi-weekly basis
  • Basic understanding of knowledge of equipment operation and material conveying
  • Ability to follow instructions and attention to procedures in place to ensure quality
  • Working safely on material moving equipment, and awareness of surroundings

Qualifications and Skills

  • Some prior forklift and manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Reliable transportation is a must
